Join the Student Conservation Association, the City of Oakland, and the Friends of Sausal Creek to celebrate Creek to Bay Day 2014.

Oakland Creek to Bay Day is part of International Coastal Cleanup Day, the largest volunteer day in California and the world - when thousands of volunteers beautify and clean trash from shorelines and waterways across California, the nation, and in about 100 countries. Projects include trash removal, invasive plant removal, and planting native plants. Join other SCA alumni to pitch in to help on this important annual event.

WHEN: Saturday, September 20th, 8:45 am to 12:00 pm

WHERE: Dimond Park, 3860 Hanly Road, Oakland, CA 94602. Meet at the Scout Hut (small building adjacent to the swimming pool, between the basketball court and restrooms) at 8:45 am to enjoy bagels and coffee.

WHAT: Volunteers will be restoring Sausal Creek by clearing invasive species and picking up trash.

BRING WITH YOU: Please wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes and clothes that can get dirty. Bring sunscreen, a hat, and a water bottle.

PROVIDED: Water and snacks will be provided.
